Welcome to Day 3 of our 5 Days of Cold and Flu Remedies series!

Today we're introducing you to another simple recipe for a tea in it's simplest form, because that's just how good it is.

Traditional medicinal uses of mullein include the treatment of respiratory conditions, such as bronchitis, asthma, and coughs. It's also been used as a pain reliever and has anti-inflammatory properties, and to treat skin conditions such as eczema and psoriasis (that's a hint for tomorrow!). It also has traditionally been used to help alleviate earaches and ear infections.

It really is it's anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, and antimicrobial properties which may loosen mucus, and help reduce your coughing symptoms.

Cough-Be-Gone

Ingredients:

1 tsp Mullein Leaf

1 cup of boiling water

honey (optional)

Brewing Instructions:

1. Boil water. We recommend using a pot, as not everyone has a strainer for steeping tea leaves.

2. Place the dried mullein in the hot water, stir to get it wet, and let steep for 5-10 minutes until the desired strength is achieved.

3. Strain and enjoy the tea while warm.
